kurdish poet and writer/turkey
(b. Hacıkân village / Diyarbakır – d. 2 October 1998). He finished primary and secondary school in Tavşanlı and high school in Afyon (1949).
After he studied Turkish Language and Literature at İstanbul University, Faculty of Literature for two years (1951-52), he left the university and lived in the village where he was born for seven years.
In 1961 he went to Ankara and studied at Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History and Geography.
He worked for the newspaper Vatan and in the Foreign News Service at the Turkish Radio and Television Institution for some time then he returned to his village again.
His articles and poems were published in journals and newspapers such as Dost, Yeni Ufuklar, Türk Dili, Ulus, Türkiye Yazıları.
